PRIVATE UTILITY LOCATES

Prior to excavating on private property, anyone breaking ground must be aware that privately-owned buried facilities may exist within the work area and, based on Ontario Reg. 213, these facilities must be marked prior to any ground disturbance activities. These privately-owned buried facilities will not be marked when obtaining locates through Ontario One Call. We work with excavators and private landowners to mark privately owned buried facilities situated on private property after the demarcation point to provide a Private Locate. Our Private Locate Process ensures that all private facilities are accounted for before you dig on private property.

GROUND PENETRATING RADAR / CONCRETE SCANNING

There are many challenges with indoor renovation and investigation projects when having to cut or core a concrete slab. Many electrical and communications conduits and post-tension cables can be embedded within a concrete floor or just beneath it, or you may not want to disturb the rebar within a concrete building floor. You want to ensure that before you saw cut, core, or drill inside a building, that you scan the work area for buried infrastructure. Our well-trained, skilled, and experienced technicians use a combination of electromagnetic locate equipment and high-frequency ground penetrating radar for every indoor project to ensure you are safe.

SUBSURFACE UTILITY MAPPING (SUM) & SUE

Our Subsurface Utility Mapping Services provide customers with accurate and reliable utility mapping for surveyors, project managers, utility owners, designers, engineers, and contractors.

 

Premier uses a variety of techniques to prepare an accurate and reliable utility locate for design purposes:

SEWER UTILITY LOCATES

We use a variety of sewer locate equipment to verify the location of non-conductive sewers. Our sewer camera (CCTV) equipment add an additional layer of information and confidence when performing sewer locates. Only marking catch basin and manhole inverts can be a costly gamble.

GEOPHYSICAL SERVICES

Premier Locates Inc. utilize state of the art geophysical equipment to accurately identify the locations of environmental liabilities. PLI’s Geophysics Technicians use a variety of geophysical equipment including ground penetrating radar, EM61, and EM31 for various geotechnical and environmental studies.

DEDICATED LOCATES

Premier Locates provides dedicated and contract locate services for Project Owners, Utility Owners, Locate Service Providers, and Surveyors.

HIGH VOLTAGE CABLE TESTING

Downtime can be incredibly costly in the event of a high voltage cable fault within your infrastructure network. We provide high voltage cable testing that can quickly and accurately identify and locate any issue before it is too late.

We use state of the art TDR and thumper equipment to identify cable faults or to detect any potential issues that may cause a problem down the road.
